Our Christie PTA is a proud supporter of our Christie Communities in Schools program. At our Christie Winterfest event, we raised $220 in gift cards for this program.

Communities In Schools (CIS) is a non-profit organization that provides support for elementary, middle and high school students across the nation. We focus on students experiencing barriers in academics, attendance or behavior. CIS also assists with the social service needs of our students. Many of our students are in need of food, clothing and shelter. Through generous in-kind donations, such as but not limited to gift cards, affords us the opportunity to assist with immediate needs such as food and clothing throughout the school year. The gift cards are monitored and dispersed to families when they are in need or CIS would use the cards to purchase the items for the family, when necessary.
